The Bees present 'The Sound Selection' is a DJ mix compilation of musical gems from The Bees treasure chest of records. These are some of the tracks which have influenced our band and our sound over time. As expected it covers a broad range of genres including Soul, Brazilian Tropicália, Hip Hop, Folk, Funk, Psychedelia, Rock & Roots Reggae amongst many other styles and oddities.

*The compilation includes an unreleased special cut version of 'Left Foot Step Down' from The Bees third critically acclaimed album Octopus. The track was previously available as a tour only hand stamped single. The mix also features 'Papa Echo' by The Bees, an exclusive mid-60s pop-psych style track from a split one off 7" with The Mother Hips released sometime in 2007/8 on Camera Records, USA. Finally look out for Aaron Fletcher trading psychedelically as Fatty FLX on 'Original Ghosts', this is the demo that became the precursor to 'One Glass of Water' from the big second album 'Free The Bees'.
